Hand Made Wedding Stationery – New Designs

Well as I said in my last post, I’ve been busy working on a new collection on Wedding Stationery. This new Baroque Style Invitation is designed to be both the Invitation and the envelope.
Folded into 3, the top third folds down to form the flap on the back and the address can be written on the front.

Above is a close up of the detailed border and the design is also continued on the flap.

Both the filigree design work and the Bride and Grooms name can be Colour Co-Co-ordinated to match the theme of the Wedding. A more complete range including Order of Service, Place Cards, Evening Invitations, Menus and Thank You Cards will ba available in the shop section very soon.
Hand Made Wedding Stationery & Calligraphy Service

It’s that time of the year again, when Christmas is over and the New Year has begun and Brides start planning their Weddings. Almost always, the Invitations are first on their list.
My first Wedding Order has been completed and safely delivered to the awaiting bride.

TThis Invitation is a simple design, clearly understated and printed in soft Grey on a hammered background.
Above is the Wedding Invitation and below is the Evening Invitation

Wedding Album
In an attempt to play catch up, I’m posting a series of smaller post instead of posting them all at once and in one post. The studio has been busy and somehow there never seems to be enough hours in the say. Beltane Man is wonderful and keeps me fed and watered, as well as creating his own work. What a gem!
Anyway….the first post….
I was asked to make a 30 page Wedding Album for a girl who’s husband is in the RAF. The colours for the front and the writing are Air Force Blue.
The front is a hand made petal paper and sewn with silver beads, from which hand 4 droplets of faux crystals.
Hand Made Wedding Card – Concertina Wedding Card Gift Idea
This is a simple Wedding Card for Nathan and Alexis. The brief was Sage Greens and Silver.
Of all the jobs I get at the studio, concertina or accordian style card/Books are the most common. Possibly becasue of their novel construction. The long thin horizontal construction make for an interesting layout.

Hand Made Wedding Stationery Website
It’s been all hands on deck at Inspired by Script and I’ve been concentrating heavily on my Wedding Website North Yorkshire Weddings Theres still a huge amount of work to be done on it and this has to be somehow fitted in around the many commissions that seem to be coming in at the moment.
I decided to develop a few new ideas for Wedding Stationery, this time with a more contemporary feel. Perhaps they will be slightly off beat for some but I’m sure the days of Cream/Ivory and Gold are numbered. We need something fresh and appealing.
The bright Light Selection follows…..
The envelope or card (if you choose to still put them in an envelope, can be left square or cut into a point. The outer cover is a 3 fold construction and inside is a picture of the particular flower you want (or could be something you provide us with if preferred) and the invite and the photo is then mounted on a bright coloured Canson, textured, cover stock.
The card can then be sealed with a photo stamp and sent as is….without the need for an envelope, thus the card doubles up as the envelope. Choose a contracting colour for the card against the inner mounted photo and invite. The choice is yours and we have a large selection of colours to choose from….one is sure to match you theme.
Here I’ve shown the purple on green and the green on purple idea, both of which compliment the lavender flowers perfectly.
Choose from mounting your cards portrait (running top to bottom) or Landscape (running side by side)
You can also choose from Small, Medium or Large Photos, making the whole card personal to you and you alone. It depends on your taste.
Of course there is still the option to go more traditional and incorporate a more subtle colour theme if that suits your taste better… Remember all our designs are tailor made to suit you! And if you are happy, we are happy… so give us your ideas You can also choose to have your name printed in beautiful calligraphy on the front…. a guaranteed eye catcher!
You can choose the picture at the bottom and the invitation at the top….
Or the other way round….the choice is entirely yours.

Hand Made Wedding Favours
Quite by surprise I ended up doing the Wedding Favours for Paul and Sarahs Wedding. Luckily she had bought organza bags in Hot Pink, ‘just in case’. Becasue of the tight time scale we had no time to really think , it had to be something simple. Mini concertinas…..

Backed with decortated squares,
a white square on top and pink heart on top of that. Hot pink ribbon to tie them together
and popped into the organza bag with a couple of Lintz chocolates…
Thanks to Suzi (see Spirit Whispers) I managed to get them done in time
Rainbows, weddings and Sunsets
Phew what a day….Thanks for everyone who has let me know that I have a Trojan on my website and this is blocking people from going on it to buy. I have known this since December, but try as I might I can’t seem to get people to commit themselves to sorting it out for me. I am trying to get someone onto it but I have the distinct feeling that the only way forward for me is to bite the bullet and wipe the whole site and start from scratch. Ho hum… I haven’t the foggiest idea about Websites, downloading and uploading files etc….. but I am good at clicking the delete button when I have to. Sadly at the moment, if the site is inaccessible I can’t sell from it, so there doesn’t seem to be much point in it being there.
As far as possible I try to have all my orders emailed to me. The advantage of this is that you can be certain of spelling of certain things (especially when it comes to names) and also typed and printed copies are so much easier to read than hand written messages, no matter how legible people think their handwriting is. On this occasion the client gave me a written copy and I read it out in front of them and everything was fine, I could read it no bother.
After I had finished the piece I asked if they wanted a greeting on the bottom. I won’t say the name but the spelling was should I say ‘unusual’. The greeting was read to me over the phone and I didn’t feel any need to check it. Consequently I spelled it wrong, lol, so the piece had to be redone. So I’ve managed this time to photograph a better picture, so I thought I’d share it with you.
Next up is a follow up from yesterday’s post, where I did the Baby Boy piece. Before I left the studio yesterday I completed a matching Baby Girl piece, but with different words. Not wanting to stop while I was ahead and doing my usual trick of ‘Think of an Idea and Do It To Death’ routine, I today did one for a Marriage/Wedding. I have entered my sons wedding date in for photographic purposes. The baby girl poster will have to wait to be photographed as everyone in the world seems to be having boys at the moment. (Personally I blame additives in food for these phenomena! – AND YES I am only kidding!). Anyway, here is the photograph of the finished piece. The wonderful thing about printing these yourself is they cam be done in any colour scheme and can be changed as easily as a quick click of a button.
The second photo shows the detail…..
It has been a wonderful day, sunny for the most part and so warm that I had the studio door open all day and even managed to sit on my step at lunchtime, something I haven’t done for what seems like forever. It was lovely to walk home in the daylight, and what’s very noticeable now is that Spring is on its way. I managed an hours garden clean up, pulled down my Virginia Creeper strands, cleaned up the leaves that I ALWAYS leave all winter for mulch and hedgehogs (gardens are too tidy for these poor things these days!) and pulled up some old dead plants, all ready for new growth. I really didn’t think I had done that much but still managed a wheelie bin full to the top of old garden debris. Thank the Goddess the grass doesn’t need cutting yet! Then won’t the work begin! Lol.

Oh….now…. I counting the weeks to Glastonbury! and getting more and more excited by the day and I know my travelling companion is getting just as excited…. who knows…. we may never come back! lol
See, no matter how much I love my little studio, my home and my garden, my heart and mind most of the time is in my spiritual home and miles and miles away from the place where I have at least for the moment, got to live.
